When we first saw this design from Designated Survivor cast member and designer Brianne Siegel, we had to ask, “What does a designer hat look like?”
We knew that we wanted a hat that was a bit more modern, but Brianne seemed to know the way.
She explained, “You’re supposed to look like your own grandmother and you’re supposed that you look like a grandmother, so you have to make sure that you’re wearing something that fits that.”
Brianne had already done the same for her family, and so we knew she was a designer, too.
She told us, “My grandmother was very comfortable in that hat and she wore it on her right side and then on her left side and so it’s kind of like a double hat that you can wear both on your right and on your left.”
As for the colors, Brianne chose to use a deep red, which has been the traditional color of the Red Cross.
This was a great choice as it looks like she’s wearing a red coat.
The pattern is also very pretty, but it’s more a subtle thing than you might expect.
We were especially excited to see the green color on her neckline.
We asked Brianne, “Can you tell us what you think about these hats?”
She said, “I love them and I think they’re great.
I’m going to wear them until the end of the season.
I’ve already got them in my closet and I’ve got them all lined up, so I just love them.”
So, there you have it.
Our favorite designer hats from the Designated Survivors cast, including the one we chose to wear.
